No primer, just paint.
The directions told me that I don't need to use a primer since I'll be sanding between the coats anyway, and the first coat of paint acts like primer so... guess that saves me some money?
So I picked out my paint scheme...
Yellow for the house, blue for the shutters and door, and white for the trim.
I went to Lowes to buy paint since you can have samples made of any color you want. What I didn't know is some companies actually already have samples made, so that was a pretty quick and easy process. Walked in, grabbed the samples, paid, and walked out.
Then came the fun part!Painting!
And geeze were they right. The first coat of paint seeped right into the wood of the dollhouse. I continued to paint though, and once I was done with the first coat, I did the next step, which was sanding.
Never sand in the house, people, especially with a fine sandpaper like I did. There was yellow dust everywhere.

EVERYWHERE!
It was really annoying to clean up.
I should have used the vacuum.
Anyway, after the first coat and sanding like my life depended on it, I checked on the directions to see what to do and they told me to put the damn thing together before putting on the final coats of paint.
CAN DO!
